Research leader, supervisor

Geza Paksy received his M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Budapest University of Technology. First he joined to Telecommunication Research Institute (TKI), Budapest, Hungary. He was involved in research and development of digital communication systems. In 1992 he joined to Matáv Hungarian Telecommunications Company Ltd, where he was the head of Transport Networks Development Department. He had responsibility for development of nationwide SDH and WDM core networks. From 2004 he is with Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Department of Telecommunications and Media Informatics. His current research interest includes modeling and planning of all-optical core and broadband access networks. He is author of 30 technical papers and conference publications and author or co-author of 5 books on telecommunications theory and praxis.
